Hello,
I have never tried to meditate or even really given trying it much thought, but after doing this 15 minute guided session I found it to be a surprisingly pleasant experience. I actually focused and tried to visualize all of the instructions and could actually feel the warmth and heaviness the voice was describing. Right now I am at a particularly stressful time in my life causing headaches and other things but this experience was a very nice way to calm down and relax a bit, especially after not doing very well on the quiz either even though I thought I knew most of the answers.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI found the meditation exercise interesting and helpful as well. I admit the first time I listened I just wanted it to end so I could figure out how to add my classmate to my blog. Blogging is a little new to me. I’m sure I’ll learn to enjoy it like I do facebook. The second time I paid better attention and felt relaxed. I have to remember to calm down and relax when I take test too. Hope you feel better.
Classmates,
ReplyDeleteWhen I began meditating it was very difficult for my to relax and stop thinking. You would think that sitting still and focusing on nothing but your own breath would be easy but it takes a lot of patience and practice. The more I meditate the better I become at calming my mind. I find it helpful to calm myself with yoga before I meditate. I also find it helpful to replace the chaotic thoughts wandering my mind with heartwarming feelings from my past. I replace the emotion and then I let it go and focus back on my breath. Each time I meditate I feel more able to actually meditate instead of just being bombarded with life daily noise. I wish you both the best of luck in your meditation practices and hope you will be able to apply what you learn into your future life.
